28th August 2004 - PICAXE uM-FPU Support Extended
Micro-Mega have released an Integrated Development Environment for use with
their uM-FPU 'Floating Point Unit' to make development with that device
easier.
The IDE includes a compiler to convert mathematical expressions into PICAXE
code, and allows operation of the uM-FPU to be analaysed at run-time and
programs to be debugged. The IDE is accompanied by comprehensive user
documentation. The IDE and documentation is available for download from the Software
section of the Revolution Education Limited web site -

Revolution Education Limited launch a new addition to their low-cost PICAXE
range; the 8-pin PICAXE-08M.
The 08M has many features which make it an excellent value for money product,
and it has quite a few features which could find it a place in many potential
projects ...

Revolution Education Limited announce they are to stock the Micromega
uM-FPU 'Floating Point Unit' peripheral through their trading arm, Tech
Supplies Limited, and have made PICAXE specific interface support software
available for free download.
The uM-FPU adds floating point and long integer processing capability which is
ideally suited for use with the PICAXE-18X, 28X and 40X ...
